The Tony Barnes Memorial Sefton Park 5 Mile Race will be held on the evening of Wednesday July 11th 2018 with the start time 7:30pm prompt.
Registration
The registration centre will be based in Aigburth Peoples Hall on Aigburth Vale which runs off Elmswood Drive. For Sat Nav users the postcode is L17 0DJ.
For those picking up numbers on the night or entering on the day please visit the registration centre where race officials will be able to help you.
Course
The race is run over two loops on the paths within Sefton Park. The route is traffic free and is well marshalled. A course map will be displayed at registration on race night. As a UKA licensed event headphones should not be worn for the duration of the event.
The start is located near the Sefton Park lake car park, off Mossley Hill Drive. It will be well signed from the registration centre at Aigburth Peoples Hall.
The finish is a few hundred meters past the start location. Runners will pass the finish area shortly after the start of the race and again following their first loop of the park. After completing the final loop runners will be directed into the finish were a funnel system will be used to record times and hand out medals.
Drinks will be available to all runners at the finish
First Aid
On race night Priority One Medical Services will be providing first aid cover for the duration of the event
Prizes
All finishers will receive a memento of the race, the first 4 finishers (male & female) in the race and the top finishers in the vet categories will all receive a prize.
A team prize will also be allocated. The team must consist of 4 members and can contain both male and female runners.
The presentation of prizes will take place at Aigburth Peoples Hall following the completion of the race at approx 9:30 o’clock
